Last Meeting: Dukinfield Town 1-1 Manchester Central (16th February 2019) Centrals 2018/19 title aspirations took a knock away at Dukinfield in the last clash between these two sides as a late penalty rescued a point for the hard-working home side. Josh Frith’s early goal was to be the only strike of the first half giving central Central a 1-0 lead at the break after a scrappy first half where both sides wasted opportunities. Central never really got going in the second half and as Dukinfield grew into the game it was only a matter of time before they drew level. With 15 minutes to go the home side finally made their pressure pay from the penalty spot to set up an exciting finale. Dukinfield almost stole the 3 points in the dying embers of the game and but for a superb stop from Central’s Ben Jupp would have completed the comeback in dramatic fashion.
