Manchester Central Reserves are back in league action on Saturday as they welcome Heyside Reserves to the Manchester College.
Central will be hoping for a repeat result from the game played between the two sides back in September, where they ran out 3-2 winners.
Another win this weekend could see Central climb to fourth in the table if other results go their way.
However Bill Prendergast’s side need to improve on their recent performances having lost their last two matches in the Manchester FA Amateur Cup and Open Trophy respectively.
Although Central’s league form is excellent, unbeaten in five matches and harbouring hopes of a promotion push.
Heyside will provide a stern test and should be full of confidence following their convincing 5-1 victory over Heywood St James Reserves last weekend. A win for Heyside will see them move to within a point of Central.
Mark Pyatt has 12 goals so far this season and he is a man that Central will have to contain. Heyside also boast an impressive defensive record, with just 13 goals conceded, the second lowest in the division.
Although Central will be confident they possess the quality to test their opponents. Both Bruno Severino and Olly Wright were excellent in the defeat to Uppermill and are two players with the ability to cause any side problems.
With no first team game on Saturday, why not get down to the Manchester College to support the lads.
