Springhead also boast impressive fire power up top. Leighton Stephenson has netted 11 goals in 10 league appearances this season and is the third top goalscorer in the Manchester Football League Premier Division.

Springhead have acquired eight points in their last five games. Three of those last five games have been against Hindsford, Heyside and Royton Town – all of which are in the top four.

The Oldham-based side currently sit five points ahead of Central having played two extra games this season.

Manchester Central have been in mixed form and currently have nine points from their last five games. A 5-2 win against Heyside stands out as their most impressive win whilst an away defeat to bottom placed Beechfield United can be seen as a real disappointment for McGuire’s side.

The last time these two sides met was in early September. Central managed to get the 2-1 victory in a closely contested match thanks to Dan Burns’ brace.
