Match Preview: Manchester Central Reserves vs Uppermill Reserves

Manchester Central

Manchester Central Reserves will be taking on Uppermill Reserves in their third successive home game this weekend in the Open Trophy at 3pm.

Bill Prendergast’s side will be looking to get back to winning ways after a narrow 1-0 defeat to Moorside Rangers last weekend.

Central Reserves were previously on a five game unbeaten streak, scoring a remarkable 22 goals in that period.

Jazzie Marong will be looking to continue his rich run of form. The midfielder has four goals in his last five games.

Uppermill Reserves have won three of their last four games and sit second in Division Three of the Manchester Football League. Chris Barlow and Adam Fitzgerald’s side currently play in the division above Central Reserves.

Uppermill Reserves will be hoping Matthew Barlow can make a big impact on Saturday. The striker has seven goals in his last three games and has been imperative to their recent good run of form.

Make sure to get down to the Manchester College 4G (M12 6BD) to support Manchester Central Reserves as they hope to progress into the next round of the cup this weekend.
