Manchester Central Reserves look to continue their impressive start to their inaugural season when they face Bolton Lads & Girls Club Reserves at the BLGC Sports Facilty on Saturday (KO 14:00).
Central Reserves have started well in the Manchester Football League Division Four so far this season, winning four of their opening seven matches and sitting third in the league table.
Their most recent result was a resounding 7-2 win over Dukinfield Town A last Saturday at The Manchester College. A hat-trick from William Ehikhamen, and a brace courtesy of Amos Dadet helped Central Reserves on their way to the three points.
Dario Germano and Chieku Thiam scored Central Reserves’ other two goals.
Their opponents this weekend sit joint bottom of the table, though which a much better goal difference than the two teams below them.
Bolton Lads & Girls Club Reserves have lost their last four matches, with their most recent defeat coming in a 2-1 loss to Atherton Town A last Saturday.
Jazzie Marong is currently Central Reserves’ top goalscorer with a remarkable seven goals from four appearances – with only two of those being starts – but Ehikhamen’s hat-trick last weekend has seen him rise to joint second in the team goalscoring statistics with four for the season so far.
Central Reserves are currently on an impressive run of three consecutive victories and will be looking to keep up form going into their next match.
