Pre Match Boothstown FC

Boothstown FC

Manchester Central host Boothstown FC in Division One of the Manchester League at The Manchester College on Saturday (KO 15:00).

As Manchester Central prepare for their seventh home game of the season, Manager Paul McGuire will be hoping to lead them towards the top spot in the Manchester League Division One table.

Boothstown walked away with a 3-2 win in their last league game against Atherton town, thanks to their top scorer, Lewis Culf, leaving them just four points behind Central.

The away team will have the chance to secure fifth place in the league table if they manage to bag another win this Saturday.

However, after winning their last three games, Central’s good form led them to reach second spot on the league table, leaving them ten points short of taking the top spot from Beechfield United.

Central will also see the return of forward player, Josh Frith, after his play away in Australia for Coomera Colts SC.

Frith will play alongside Central’s top goal scorer, Cory Knight, giving the club good odds of walking away with a fourth consecutive win this season.

Boothstown will be returning to play Central at home on Saturday for the first time since January, that saw them lose 2-1 to the home team.
